The bluesign® system is based on minimizing the environmental impact during the entire production process. All substances and raw materials used in production are tested before production begins. Across the company, we currently source all our fabrics from bluesign® system partners and therefore from suppliers who further reduce their emissions to air and water and have an environmental management system in place.
we have only used PFC-free impregnations to make our outer fabrics water-repellent. PFCs (per- and polyfluorinated chemicals) or PFAS (per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances) are a very large group of chemicals that do not occur in nature and are not biodegradable. Due to their water-repellent properties, these harmful chemicals are often used in the textile industry, especially for outdoor products, and are released into the environment via air and water.
All of our packaging is sized for the product and originates from certified FSC sources. It is fully recyclable, compostable and uses water-based inks, which are all better for the planet.
